Denmark in Afghanistan

Following the events of August 2021, where Taliban took over Kabul and formed a de-facto Government, Denmark froze all development assistance delivered through Afghan Government structures.  The Danish focus has since been on continuing and increasing humanitarian funding to alleviate the crisis in the country.  In 2021, Denmark provided more than 76 million USD in humanitarian aid through partners within the UN and international NGO community.
